Why Doctor Chilton, were you worried about me? I did get home without incident, however, and you're sweet as synthesis for checking in on me, dear.

Quite the relief. I certainly did not want "Arthur" to further complicate your life, it has already been something of an ordeal.

[Especially in terms of fallout, especially in the forms of Rincewind and Petyr Baelish. Speaking of:]

Will you be in Maurtia Falls any time soon? There is a surprise party being thrown in my honor.

I don't mind a few complications now and then, it keeps things interesting!

A surprise party, hm? I think you're going about it the wrong way, if you're the one letting me know~ but since you mention it, I've very recently moved to Maurtia Falls from Nonah. I had it on very good authority that this city could have everything I look for in a good place to live.

Baelish likes to keep his people close, doesn't he? [It was more a comment to himself than conversational material; Chilton recognized her as one of Baelish's, just as he was. He couldn't fault the ambassador for his good taste -- in fact, Haen was on Chilton's mind for a multitude of reasons.]

[At least he was aware of it; Chilton didn't mind the hierarchy established, especially given Baelish's place in the universe. Chilton wasn't a politician, he was a doctor -- he was happy enough with his hospital to play with. A little cycle around Petyr's sun was fine by him, as long as his specific power was still nourished.

Oh meiosis, that does sound like quite the project you're undertaking. But I understand very well that it's important to get out ahead of problems, particularly when you know they'll definitely show up down the line.

The recruiting was. The structure itself -- apparently it is a common thing in Lex Luthor's universe. He comes from one of those highly heroic worlds, you know, fully of able and willing empowered people.

But it seems like a rather hands off operation.

Hands off, or just hands that aren't yours, dear? Or rather, hands that don't look like yours?

I meant -- metaphorically hands off, Luthor has granted me a significant amount of control. [A beat.] Which means I would offer you control, in turn. However much you need.
